Purpose: Theoretical presentation of the EFQM Excellence Model and self-assessment emphasis on Promoting creativity and innovation.
Method: In the research, we used a qualitative method based on analytical study. We collected literature, articles and information and reviewed and analyzed them.
Results: The results showed that companies have a well-developed promotion of creativity and innovation. But with all the building blocks of the EFQM excellence model, there is room for improvement. Therefore, we also made suggestions for improvement. The literature we reviewed states that the constant promotion of creativity and innovation is the key to better results in the process or in the business of the company.
Organization: The research has a great impact on the organization, as the assessment of the building blocks of EFQM excellence in the field of creativity and innovation provided information on how important this is for the growth of the company. However, the support of top management is crucial, which must encourage creativity and innovation.
Society: Employees can do the most in the field of creativity and innovation, so this should be emphasized in the future. Because innovative companies survive in the technological boom we are witnessing today.
Originality: It is an original contribution of the profession to the building block of EFQM Excellence - promoting creativity and innovation.
Limitations/Future Research: The research was done on the basis of selected literature, articles and information. It is also a fact that only one building block of EFQM Excellence out of 8 building blocks was selected. Further research would make sense if we combined all the building blocks of Excellence and got a comprehensive picture of a company on the topic of EFQM Excellence.
