Abstract

Research Question (RQ): When we studied the values we were particularly interested in issues concerning moral responsibility with regard to a generation, loyalty to the organization and spiritual growth and, finally, whether moral values of Generation Z are an upgrade of Generation Y.
Purpose: We wanted to identify the main differences between the values of generations, so we could contribute to a better understanding between the generations.
Method: As a research method we used one-way analysis of variance, box test, multivariate test, Pillai's trace statistics, Post hoc LSD test, PCA analysis - principal component analysis, factor analysis, Bartlett test of equality of variances, KMO test of partial correlation coefficients and the method of rotation.
Results: The research shows that between the values of generations exists a significant difference.
Organization: Managers will have to confront value differences on the level of organizations and take them into account at work planning.
Society: For better relationships in society it will be necessary to examine value differences, coordinate them and motivate generations to build intergenerational bridges.
Originality: This type of research has not yet been detected in Slovenia.
Limitations/Future Research: The research focused only on the value differences between generations. Its upgrade would be a research, oriented into modeling appropriate solutions, which would contribute to a homogenization of society and a better understanding of it.
