Research Question (RQ): How do leadership approaches influence employees’ experiences and acceptance of organizational changes, and what is necessary for these changes to be successfully implemented?
Purpose: The purpose of the research is to examine how employees perceive the introduction of organizational changes and to identify which elements of leadership most strongly encourage or hinder their readiness to adapt.
Method: A qualitative approach was used, based on a systematic literature review (PRISMA) and existing theoretical frameworks. Literature was searched in Scopus, Web of Science, ProQuest, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar, and 11 relevant articles were included in the final analysis.
Results: Literature analysis shows that leadership style has a strong impact on how employees experience and accept change, as good communication and people involvement reduce resistance. It also shows that a strong organizational culture facilitates the introduction of change and ensures that employees accept it more quickly.
Organization: The research is valuable for the organization, as it highlights the important role leadership plays in implementing change. Therefore, the study has a positive impact on the organization by emphasizing added value and awareness.
Society: Society strives for satisfaction in the workplace and within organizations. Sudden changes often lead to friction and negative experiences. If more people read this research, they would better understand the importance of change in the work environment. The research is particularly intended for leaders and practitioners responsible for introducing and managing such changes within companies.
Originality: Although numerous studies on organizational change already exist, we found it important to continue exploring how change impacts employees and how leadership deals with these challenges.
Limitations/Future Research: A limitation of this study is the number of articles reviewed. Future research could incorporate more theoretical sources and include a quantitative approach.
